BCC Worship

Welcome to the BCC worship team. We’re a group of singers and musicians from different backgrounds who are all ordinary people. Our worship team don’t just sing songs from the platform or watch the congregation worshipping; we want to be genuine worshippers who seek to connect with God through music and draw the congregation nearer to Him. Being able to enter into a place of worship as an individual, where we are focussed solely on God, is so important. We know that we can’t lead others to a place where we are not willing to go ourselves.

As a family, we are there to encourage and support each other and build each other up. We want our team to show:

  • A desire to grow in our personal relationships with God

  • A desire to grow as worshippers, both spiritually and musically

  • A willingness to help those around us develop – both spiritually and musically – and work as a team.

  • Commitment – to the team, to practice, to turn up for sound check and Sunday services and to arrive on time.

  • Integrity – to lead by example on and off stage.

What can I do?

We’re always looking to welcome new people into the Worship Team and Choir.  The Worship Team is open to musicians and singers. We meet every Thursday at 7:20pm to rehearse for the upcoming Sunday.

The team for Sundays is organised on a rota basis, so on average you’ll play or sing once or twice a month, depending on instrument and events in the month (for example, choir or family services).

BCC Choir

If you’re a singer who’d love to be involved but you need a little more flexibility, why not audition for the BCC Choir?

We rehearse and lead worship once per month – usually the last Sunday of the month. We’re also involved in some of the major events in the Church calendar, such as Good Friday, Easter Sunday and the Christmas Carol Service. In the run up to these, there will be extra rehearsals (but we’ll give you dates well in advance).

How do I join?

Anyone who wishes to join the worship team or choir must fill out a form, available from the volunteers table on Sundays or from one of the worship leaders. You can also get a form by visiting our Jobs page– Please fill this in and email it back to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

If you would like to join our team, you will need to have been attending BCC regularly for a period of time.

When we receive your form, we will invite you to audition. If you’re successful, you will be invited to join our rehearsals on Thursdays, but won’t be placed on the Sunday rota straight away. This gives you the opportunity to settle in and get to know us, and for the team to get to know you.
