Our children’s team creates a fun, safe, and engaging environment where children can learn about God and grow in their faith. It is separated into smaller age groups. Whether leading activities, sharing Bible stories, or simply offering a warm welcome, you’ll play a vital role in making church an exciting and meaningful experience for our youngest members.

You’ll also be expected to follow safeguarding procedures to ensure the well-being of all children in our care. If you have a heart for children and a passion for helping them encounter God in a joyful and secure setting, we’d love for you to join the team. All team members will be required to undergo a DBS check and follow our safer recruitment process.

How often?

Children’s team members serve once or twice a month, arriving 45 minutes before the service begins and staying 15 minutes after it ends.

What would you do?

Our youth team helps create a space where young people can grow in their faith, build friendships, and engage with biblical teaching in a way that is relevant to them. Youth is separated into smaller age groups, allowing for deeper discussions and connection. Team members support, encourage, and guide young people as they explore their faith, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment by following safeguarding procedures.

Youth team members serve once or twice a month, arriving 45 minutes before the service begins and staying 15 minutes after it ends.

What would you do?

The young adults team helps create opportunities for connection, community, and discipleship among people aged 18 to 30's. This involves being proactive in joining the team that organises monthly social events after the service, such as coffee and cake, as well as occasional day trips every few months. The team also works alongside our network of students, helping them feel at home in church life. Additionally, there are opportunities to support and plan special events throughout the year.

How often?

Serving in this team is flexible, depending on the events being organised. Typically, social gatherings happen once a month, with additional planning meetings and occasional larger events throughout the year.

What would you do?

The Relax team provides a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for children, youth, and young adults with additional needs and disabilities. Separated into age groups, this team focuses on making church accessible and engaging for all, offering tailored activities and encouragement to help every individual grow in their faith. Team members support participants, ensuring they feel valued and included, while following safeguarding procedures to maintain a safe environment.

The information desk team is the first point of contact for visitors and church members who need information, guidance, or support. This role involves welcoming people, answering questions, providing details about church events and ministries, and ensuring that everyone feels at home. Team members help create a warm and approachable atmosphere where people can easily find the information they need. If you enjoy meeting people and helping them feel connected to church life, we’d love for you to be part of the team.

How often?

Team members serve once or twice a month, arriving 30 minutes before the service begins and staying 20 minutes after the service ends.

What would you do?

The prayer team provides spiritual support by praying with and for individuals after the service. Team members offer encouragement, stand in faith with those seeking prayer, and help create an atmosphere where people can encounter God’s presence. This role requires sensitivity, a heart for others, and a willingness to listen and pray with compassion. If you have a heart for praying with others and encouraging them in their faith journey, we’d love for you to join the team.

Team members serve once or twice a month, staying 30 minutes after the service to be available for prayer ministry.

What would you do?

The welcome team plays a vital role in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere as people arrive for Church. Team members greet and welcome everyone at the doors, helping them feel at home from the moment they step in.

After the service, they connect with newcomers, offering a friendly face, answering any questions, and assisting with registering their details for follow-up via the iPads. If you have a heart for hospitality and making people feel valued, we’d love for you to join the team.

Team members serve once or twice a month, arriving 30 minutes before the service begins to welcome people as they enter and then serving for around 30 minutes after the service to connect with newcomers.

What would you do?

The refreshments team helps create a welcoming and hospitable environment by serving tea, coffee, and refreshments after the service. Team members assist in setting up before the service ends, ensuring everything is ready, and then serve for 30 minutes after the service, providing a space for people to connect and build community. If you enjoy hospitality and helping people feel at home, we’d love for you to join the team.

How often?

Team members serve twice a month, helping to set up refreshments before the service ends and serving for 30 minutes after the service.

What would you do?

The car park team is the first point of welcome, ensuring a smooth and friendly arrival for everyone coming to church. With a smile and a helpful attitude, you’ll guide cars into available spaces, assist with traffic flow, and create a safe and welcoming environment for all attendees.

If you love being outdoors, meeting people, and helping make church a great experience from the moment people arrive, this could be the perfect team for you!

Car park team members serve twice a month on alternate weeks, arriving 45 minutes before the service starts and staying until 20 minutes into the service.

What would you do?

The AV and lighting team plays a key role in creating a smooth and engaging worship experience during our services. This includes operating sound, lighting, and cameras to ensure everything runs seamlessly. Team members assist during sound checks, manage live production elements, and help create an atmosphere that enhances worship and teaching. No prior experience is required, as training will be provided. If you have an interest in technology and a heart for serving behind the scenes, we’d love for you to be part of the team.

How often?

AV, lighting and camera team members serve once or twice a month, arriving 45 minutes before the service starts (during sound check) and staying until the end of the service.

What would you do?

The PA sound engineering team is responsible for ensuring high-quality audio for both in-house and online services. This involves mixing sound for worship, speakers, and media, setting up equipment, and troubleshooting any audio issues. Team members help create a seamless and distraction-free worship experience by balancing sound levels and ensuring clarity throughout the service.

Training can be provided for those interested in developing their skills in live sound engineering. If you have an ear for sound and a desire to support worship and teaching through excellent audio, we’d love for you to join the team.

How often?

PA sound engineers serve once a month, arriving 90 minutes before the service starts to set up and facilitate rehearsal, staying until the end of the service.

What would you do?

Our Worship Team is a passionate group of musicians and singers who lead the church in heartfelt worship. Through music, we create an atmosphere that invites people into God’s presence. Team members commit to regular self-practice, attending weekly rehearsals on their serving weeks (Thursdays), and participating in sound checks before Sunday services. You’ll also stay updated with our church song list 

How often?

Worship team members serve twice a month, Choir members serve once a month. Arrival is 90 mins before the service begins until the end of the service.

What would you do?

Our Ushering Team plays a key role in creating a welcoming and organised atmosphere for our Sunday services. With a warm smile and friendly presence, you’ll help people find their seats before and during the service, distribute offering buckets, and assist with evacuations if needed. Your role is essential in ensuring that everyone feels at home and that the service runs as smoothly as possible.

How Often?

Ushers serve twice a month, working on alternate weeks. You’ll arrive 30 minutes before the service and stay for 10 minutes after to assist as needed.

What would you do?

The communion preparation team plays a vital role in ensuring that communion is ready to be shared during the service. This involves setting up the communion elements before the service, ensuring everything is prepared reverently and efficiently. After the service, team members also assist in tidying up and storing communion items properly.

How often?

The team serves once a month, arriving 45 minutes before the service starts to assist with preparation and staying after the service to tidy up.
