Sunday Volunteer Opportunities

Bridge Community Church is a place where lives are transformed, and we couldn’t do it without the incredible people who choose to invest their time in serving God, the Church, and our city.

With services at 10:30am and 4:00pm, it takes over 300 dedicated volunteers to make everything happen—from welcoming people at the door to leading worship, supporting youth, running tech, and so much more. Serving isn’t just about filling a role—it’s about being part of a family, building friendships, and growing in faith together.

We are always looking for new team members to join us in making church a place where everyone feels at home. Whether you’ve been at BCC for years or have just started coming, there’s a team that’s right for you!

If you’d like to get involved, simply let us know your area of interest via the form below, and a team leader will be in touch to help you take the next steps.

We can’t wait to serve alongside you and see how God moves through our Church as we work together to make a difference!

Other Areas & Activities in Partnership with BCC

In addition to the core ministries and operations of Bridge Community Church, there are a number of other activities and partnerships that take place across our sites. These initiatives reflect our ongoing commitment to serve our local community, support missional work, and provide spaces that foster connection, learning, and support.

Some of these activities are led by BCC, while others are run in partnership with trusted organisations and individuals, working collaboratively to bring positive impact in line with our values.

These activities vary widely—whether it’s supporting with English-speaking lessons, being a listening ear at The Welcome in Lincoln Green, assisting in Splashtime, or helping out at Kidz Club—each one plays a vital role in building community and sharing the love of Jesus in practical ways.

Below is an overview of the other areas and activities currently active either under the banner of BCC or through close partnership with us.

The Welcome

Volunteering at The Welcome offers a unique opportunity to be part of a warm, supportive environment in the heart of Lincoln Green. Open on Thursdays and Saturdays, The Welcome provides a safe and inclusive space for the local community to connect, rest, and receive support.

Volunteers play a key role in helping create this atmosphere—whether by greeting and chatting with visitors, serving refreshments, assisting with activities, or simply being a friendly and attentive presence. Whether it’s offering a listening ear or lending a practical hand, every volunteer helps extend care, build trust, and reflect God’s love in action.

Splashtime

Splashtime is a lively and welcoming stay-and-play group for preschool children and their parents or carers, offering a fun and supportive environment to play, connect, and build community. It runs during school term time, Tuesday to Friday, for a couple of hours each day.

Volunteers help create a safe and engaging space by setting up toys and activities, welcoming families, serving drinks and snacks, chatting with parents, and tidying up afterward. Whether it’s offering a warm smile, a helping hand, or a listening ear, volunteers make a meaningful impact in the lives of families attending.

Kidz Club

Kidz Klub is one of our valued charity partners, with a powerful vision: to see lasting transformation through the love of God for the most vulnerable, unreached children, their families, and communities in Leeds.

There are various ways to volunteer, including helping at their busy Central Klub, held at BCC on Monday evenings (between 4pm–8pm, currently once a month). Each month, around 350 children are brought in by bus from across the city for an evening packed with games, activities, and teaching.

Volunteers are essential to creating a fun, safe, and welcoming environment—whether that’s helping with games, chatting with children, managing the space, or simply being an encouraging presence. It’s a high-energy, rewarding way to share God’s love in action and make a real difference in young lives.

Women Arise

Women Arise exists to honour, encourage, and empower migrant women to flourish and shine. It provides a warm and inclusive space where women can build friendships, grow in confidence, and receive practical support.

Running on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the daytime, activities include ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes, wellbeing sessions, and social support.

Volunteers play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment—whether by helping with sessions, offering conversation practice, serving refreshments, or simply being a friendly and encouraging presence.

It’s a meaningful opportunity to stand alongside women from all backgrounds and support them as they grow and thrive in community.
